What Are Your Fees?
Psychological Evaluation: $350. This is done on the initial visit, as a way to determine if this type of treatment is a good match for your particular concerns. This is a 90 minute appointment, and can include a report to your physician or referring health care provider.
Individual psychotherapy: $175 per 45 minute session. This may also take the form of a session with you and others involved in your care, such as family members, if needed.
Several appointments are reserved for those requesting a reduced fee, as needed. If you are seeking a reduced fee, please call directly to discuss your personal situation and find out availability of appointments.
Regarding insurance:
1. I do not participate with any insurance plans. This means I am an “out of network” provider. Also, I do not bill your insurance plan at all.
2. Due to federal laws, Medicare does not reimburse for any out of network services. Absolutely do not attempt to send Medicare a receipt for reimbursement.
3. For those without Medicare, if you want to see if you can be reimbursed by your insurance company for our visits, you may contact your insurance company. My services would be covered under ‘behavioral health’ benefits. There are several important questions to ask:
a. Do I have out of network benefits to see a licensed clinical psychologist?
b. If so, is there an out of network deductible, and how much is it. Have I met any of it during this calendar year?
c. Do I have a co-pay for an out of network provider? How much is it?
d. How much will I be reimbursed for an initial visit, and a follow up visit?
e. How many sessions are covered in a calendar year?
f. What do I need from the psychologist to submit for reimbursement?
g. What form do I use to submit for reimbursement?
h. How long will it take to process my reimbursement?
